It’s time for Moto 360, a watch that appears and feels great, a smart timepiece, powered by Android wear, designed by Motorola.
LG took the lead, and now it is Motorola to unveil its smart watch, an android wear, the Moto 360 running on the new OS. The Moto 360 is rumored to have a premium traditional look. The computerized Moto 360 watch screen is speculated to be a customized OLED display with circular shape. In comparison to LCDs, OLEDs consumes 40% less power when displaying colorless images because it can turn off individual pixels.
The Moto 360 exhibit a black analog watch face when Android wear menu is inactive, it could easily show a screen saver with a black analog dial. This makes the smart watch a traditional watch. Almost a similar display was on the Moto X smart phone that includes the notifications on lock screen and same is displayed here. The battery life is significant feature on a wearable as one user would prefer charging the watch before the day off.
Moto 360 Specs
Motorola is not been so open about sharing the specs of its Android wear smart watch Moto 360. This is because the internal specs of low powered smartwatch are not much attractive when it comes to memory and processing memory. The hardware of the device is more known, as the company has confirmed the fact that the smart watch will be having an orientation-free design that can be worn on any hand. It is rumored to have a circular watch face instead of square display design like that of rivals. The unique design choice of this all-metal Moto 360 will look sophisticated and natural next to the Samsung Gear 2 or the Pebble Steel. It will be paired with customized metal and leather straps that suits the preference of old styled 21st century wrists. The Moto 360 is all set to give tough time to the predictable Apple iWatch.
Moto 360 Release Date & Price
The rumors suggest that the Moto 360 smartwatch is set for July release. When it was initially announced in March there was no sign of when it will be hitting stores. Although, some sources are speculating it will launch in early July and will cost €249 in Europe. The Moto 360 watch price in the UK will be over £200 almost the same price range as Samsung’s new wearable range. At Google’s I/O, we are expecting to hear a lot more details about the Moto 360 smart watch.
