In this world of smartphones and technology there exist some peoples who cannot have the luxury of such smartphones, the blinds and handicapped. Hence now there is a hope for them too. The world’s first smartphones for blinds is almost ready and will be out soon. Yes the world’s first smartphone that can be used by blind people and it will be soon launched in India. The smartphone for blinds differs by its screen, a grip of pins that moves vertically to form Braille letters that a blind person can read easily.
The Creator of this invention is Sumit Dagar. “we have created the world’s first Braille smartphone” –Summit Dagar. He also said “This product is based on an innovative ‘touch screen’ which is capable of elevating and depressing the contents it receives to transform them into ‘touchable’ patterns”.
Dagar began the work on this project before three years when he was studying in the India’s National Institute of Design. The Technology used in this smartphone is most likely to that of any other smartphone save for the display. The device uses a Shape Memory Alloy technology which uses the metals capability to remember their original shapes and expand and contract to after the use.
Summit Dagar Also Said “The response during the test has been immense. It comes out as a companion more than a phone to the user. We plan to do more advanced versions of the phone in the future
