Hacking has become of the most popular cybercrime these days. Hackers are always seeking some fresh targets. Now day’s people over the social media are making some of the big mistakes by putting all of their personal information on their social profile and also reveals so many personal details while talking to strangers. This act makes them an easy target for the hackers and hackers can hack them easily. Hackers can also access their files and download their pictures and make bad use of it.
The head of the criminal investigation department (CID) at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Dr Rashid Mohammed Borshid, also warned citizens and residents of the negative aspects of online dating,as part of an awareness-raising initiative aimed at combating cyber crimes.
He asked the people to avoid sending their personal data to any one and also avoid putting in on the social site and he also highlighted that a new federal law has been enacted which will prevent these sites for defamation, threat, extortion or spreading rumors.
The WAM news agency said that the Colonel Borshid quoted as saying”To prevent cyber-attacks and identity thefts, individuals need to be careful how and to whom they disclose their personal data, refrain from uploading personal photographs, and turn off their device’s camera. They also need to review and adjust the privacy settings, and determine who has access to personal data,”
The CID asked the people to avoid opening unknown links and use a strong email password as well.
